Earlier in the year when the Detroit Lions faced off against the Chicago Bears, Matthew Stafford and the Lions passing offense didn’t have much to be proud of. Stafford threw the ball 36 times for just 213 yards (5.9 Y/A), zero touchdowns and two interceptions.
Though the Bears defense has remained tough throughout the year, without a few playmakers—like suspended linebacker Jerrell Freeman and injured Will Sutton—the Lions are expected to play a little better offensively.
So today’s Question of the Day is:
Which Detroit Lions player do you expect to lead the team in receiving yards this week?
My answer: Eric Ebron. I don’t have much of a justification for my choice—after all Marvin Jones led the way in Week 4 with five catches for 74 yards—but I have a hunch that after a few quiet weeks, Ebron is ready to emerge against as one of the top options for Stafford. Ebron only has seven catches in his last three games, but he had four in his previous game against the Bears, and I think he’ll have at least that many this time.
Your turn.
