It finally happened! The Detroit Lions released their inactive list on Sunday morning and for the first time since Week 1, linebacker DeAndre Levy is not on the list. That means that Levy will play in just his third game in two seasons against the Chicago Bears. It’s still unknown how much Levy will play on Sunday, but the Detroit Free Press’ Dave Birkett believes he’ll have a significant role in the defense.
The Lions also got some additional good news in that Marvin Jones, who missed last week’s game because of a quad injury, will also play today. In fact, seven of eight Lions players listed as questionable on Friday are active and will play against the Bears. That includes the likes of Eric Ebron, and Ezekiel Ansah. Don Carey will also play after missing two weeks with a hamstring issue.
However, Theo Riddick is out this week with a wrist injury, meaning recently acquired Joique Bell will be in the lineup today.
On the Bears side, they will be without receiver Eddie Royal, who had seven catches for 111 yards and a touchdown in the last matchup between the two teams.
