Travis Swanson has yet to clear concussion protocol, and as such he has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. The Detroit Lions starting center will once again be replaced by guard Graham Glasgow at the position. Running back Theo Riddick is also doubtful for the game, and five Lions are questionable.
The loss of Swanson is bad news for line depth, as the Glasgow shift opens up a hole at guard. Riddick’s possible absence would put the onus of the ground game once again on Dwayne Washington and Zach Zenner—though Zenner himself is questionable with a concussion. Both Riddick and Swanson were absent from the field during Detroit’s victory over the Chicago Bears.
For the Giants, they will be without defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, and three other players have been marked questionable. The full reports follow below.
