The Sunday morning inactives list released by the Detroit Lions held few surprises. As pointed out by Chris Lemieux on Friday, center Travis Swanson was ruled out for the game at the Meadowlands; rookie Graham Glasgow will once more be your starting center for the game. Also shelved is starting backfield ankle breaker Theo Riddick, who was most recently listed as doubtful with a wrist injury. Zach Zenner removed the red no-contact jersey at practice on Thursday, and re-joins Dwayne Washington and Joique Bell to shoulder the load in Riddick’s absence.
On the defensive side of the ball, all Lions starters will be suiting up against the New York Giants. Along with Levy, ace cornerback Darius Slay and edge terror Ezekiel Ansah were listed as questionable heading into game day. Watch for an increased snap workload for Levy, as well as how heavily Ziggy is used in the line rotation. Also keep an eye on how fluildly Slay’s hamstring allows him to run; the Slay vs. Odell Beckham Jr. duel was tagged as one of the key matchups in POD’s latest installment of On Paper.
For the Giants, the biggest change coming into the game against the Lions is the return of starting left guard Justin Pugh. The steady veteran suffered a sprained MCL in Week 9, and will be seeing his first action since the second quarter of that game against the Eagles.
