The Detroit Lions can finally clinch a playoff spot this week with a little help. But first things first: The Lions are in New Jersey to face the New York Giants in a battle of 9-4 NFC foes. The winner takes a huge step forward in reaching the postseason. The loser will stay in a playoff spot, but will need some wins down the stretch to remain there.
Detroit clinches the NFC North with a win and a Packers loss, but the Giants can actually claim a playoff spot this week, too. If the Giants win, they’ll claim a spot with a Washington loss, Minnesota loss or tie and a Packers loss.
