Monday open thread: Do you feel better or worse about Lions after Sunday’s loss?

How are you feeling about the Lions after dropping a game to the Giants?

NFL: Detroit Lions at New York Giants Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Lions hadn’t lost since October. Sometimes it’s easy to forget what it feels like to lose when your team is a on a roll. But the New York Giants ended the Lions’ five-game winning streak, and all of a sudden the Lions’ sure playoff chances look anything but sure.

Of course, not much has truly changed with the Lions’ postseason odds. Though a top two seed is now fairly unlikely when this loss is combined with a Seahawks and Cowboys win, the Lions still control their own fate and can simply punch their ticket to the playoffs with a win over the Packers in Week 17.

So today’s Question of the Day is:

Do you feel better, worse or the same about the Lions after their loss to the Giants?

My answer: A little worse. I really never expected this team to compete for a first-round bye, but you can feel the margin of error for Detroit slipping away. I don’t believe the Packers are any better, despite their four-game winning streak, and I don’t think the Lions are any worse after their loss on Sunday. But there was part of me holding out hope Detroit would have things wrapped up before Week 17, and now that looks extremely unlikely.

Your turn.
