The Pro Bowl teams were announced on Tuesday night and no Detroit Lions made it to the initial roster. Matthew Stafford, Darius Slay, Matt Prater and Sam Martin were all named as alternatives, but for the time being Orlando will be Lion-less for the exhibition game.
Earlier in the month, the NFL also announced that in addition to the game, Pro Bowl weekend will include various events, including skill competitions like dodgeball, quarterback challenges and a relay race. So today’s Question of the Day is:
Will you watch the Pro Bowl this year?
My answer: I’d love to be able to sit here and tell you that I have the self control not to watch the Pro Bowl, because I already know that it’s a boring game that I regret watching year in and year out, but that wouldn’t be truthful. At that point, even though the postseason won’t be over, I will be near mourning for the end of football and I’ll be watching. Presuming the Lions aren’t in the Super Bowl, there’s a pretty good chance we’ll see at least one of the players in the event, too, since there is typically a high dropout rate due to injury. And the first year of skills competition is enough to hold my attention regardless.
Your turn.
