Lions-Cowboys expert picks: Staff is mostly split for ‘Monday Night Football’

Here are our predictions for ‘Monday Night Football’.

The Detroit Lions have a ton on the line on Monday, while the Dallas Cowboys literally have nothing. That won’t stop Dallas, allegedly, from treating this as a normal game, but it’s hard to trust the Cowboys at their word.

Regardless of whether the Cowboys will be giving it 100 percent or not, this is a tough matchup to predict. Dallas comes in as a huge six-point favorite, but the Lions have hung in every game they’ve played this year, and with much more to play for, they will certainly come in as the more motivated team.

That being said, most of our Pride Of Detroit staff is still picking the Cowboys in this one. Three of our 10 staffers think the Lions will pull off the upset. Check it out.

Joseph Buszek (10-4): 27-21 Lions
Andrew Kato (10-4): 27-16 Cowboys
Ryan Mathews (9-5): 28-21 Cowboys
Brian Packey (9-5): N/A
Kyle Yost (9-5): 24-14 Cowboys
Alex Reno (8-6): 28-17 Cowboys
Chris Lemieux (8-6): 11-5 Lions
Mike Payton (7-7): Cowboys win
Justin Simon (7-7): 26-13 Cowboys
Jeremy Reisman (7-7): 27-17 Cowboys
Kent Lee Platte (6-7): 17-14 Lions

As you can see, most of us are still predicting a very close game. No one predicted anything larger than a 13 point victory for the Cowboys. This obviously falls in line with what we’ve seen from the Lions, in that only two of their 14 games thus far were decided by more than a single possession.

Now it’s time to make your picks. Add your score prediction to the widget below, and make sure you give us your score in the comments below. The commenter closest to the final score will get a shout out in next week’s “On Paper” column (unless it’s Chris Lemieux again).

Let’s hear it. Who do you have for Monday night?
