Week 13 comes to a close with a not-so-exciting matchup between the 5-6 Indianapolis Colts and the 3-8 New York Jets. Neither team really has much of any playoff chances at this point, but technically both are mathematically in contention.
Even if there were any playoff implications, it wouldn’t affect the Detroit Lions, as this is a matchup between two AFC teams. If you’re looking for one small way to tie this into the Lions, there’s a slight reason to root for the Colts. People really like to dog Matthew Stafford for being unable to win on the road against teams with a winning record. The Lions beat the Colts on the road this year, but they currently sit under .500. If Indianapolis picks up four more wins in their final five games, they’ll finish 9-7 and Stafford will have another big road win.
But maybe your fantasy football matchup comes down to Monday night, or maybe you just want to watch some football to get some closure to another fine week of the NFL. Either way, enjoy the game and chat with us.
