Pride Of Detroit PODcast: Haters on parade, free agency, mailbag

Free agent rundowns, pundits hating Staff and Megatron, Yeezy Season 3, a few alcoholic drinks and much more on the resident sports talk podcast of Pride Of Detroit.

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Every week we take Pride Of Detroit to the audio world, and this time we got together for another special edition of the PODcast. Myself, Jerry Mallory, Alex Reno and Ryan Mathews all crammed into the digital sound booth and got off another hour and change of Lions and NFL talk to keep you warm and safe through the offseason, which is good because it's damn cold out there this time of year.

Thank you all for downloading and subscribing and listening to the PODcast. We're working hard around the clock to make this bigger and better each week. Make sure to subscribe on iTunes, leave reviews and ratings, all that fun stuff.

This week on the PODcast:

  • Last thoughts on the Super Bowl!
  • Who's hating on the Lions now? Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and the Blue & Silver have all found themselves in the crosshairs of various league analysts and pundits; we examine what's got them all so salty and if their criticisms hold any water.
  • Free agency is coming! We've got a month before the Lions can start shopping around the league for new targets, but first they'll have to take stock of their own free agent crop. We go through all the names and make snap judgment calls on whether or not to keep or cut.
  • Ryan is in charge of young people, and Ryan explains how he is ruining them by transforming their lives into Cake vs. Pie.
  • Mailbag, as always! We talk a lot of booze this time around, give our impressions on Yeezy Season 3 and have some very special cross-sports letters from our admirers.
  • Jerry Mallory stays being the real MVP.
