Rafael Bush meeting with the Lions on Friday

The Saints safety would make another addition to a busy defense-focused signing period.

Add another to the visits pile. The Lions will reportedly meet with Russell Okung on Friday, but he won't be the only guest that the organization shall host. Saints free agent safety Rafael Bush is on the open market and he has shown up on the radar for Detroit. The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Bush intends to meet with the Lions on Friday, a meeting that potentially may lead to a signing.

Bush has spent the last four seasons with the New Orleans Saints. In 40 games with the Saints he defended nine passes, snagged one interception and recovered a fumble. He tore his pectoral muscle in 2015 but appears to be progressing well in rehab.

The Lions have some depth needs at safety, particularly as Isa Abdul-Quddus has recently signed with the Miami Dolphins and James Ihedigbo is not expected to return to the team.
