- ESPN's draft guru Todd McShay released his fourth mock draft of the year. This time, McShay went two rounds deep and came up with a very favorable result for the Detroit Lions. He has the Lions grabbing offensive tackle Taylor Decker in round one and defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard in the second.

- The NFL and the New York Times got into a public scuffle on Thursday. The New York Times criticized the NFL for their misleading concussion studies formed by a commission from 1994. The NFL responded with a harshly-worded statement, and the Times rebutted with an equally aggressive series of tweets.
