The Detroit Lions haven't expressed any public interest in re-signing linebacker Tahir Whitehead, who will become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday. Despite the Lions having a need at linebacker and Whitehead playing admirably in 2015, it appears Detroit is content with letting him go.
Enter: the Philadelphia Eagles.
#Eagles have expressed interest in OLB Tahir Whitehead, per a source. Could be Kiko's replacement. https://t.co/g38o8J0rI5

Whitehead would be a very good fit in Philadelphia. The Eagles are reportedly trading away linebacker Kiko Alonso just one year after trading for him. Whitehead could immediately replace him. Whitehead also has several ties to the area: he went to college at Temple, less than 10 miles away from Lincoln Financial Field. He could also reunite with former Lions head coach Jim Schwartz, who is now the defensive coordinator for the Eagles.
Wherever Whitehead lands, he appears to be enjoying the offseason ride:
And the games begin..........
