Former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith was reportedly murdered over a senseless act of road rage that turned into a lethal shooting on Saturday night. The tragic news swept over the football nation late on Saturday and rolling into Sunday morning. Several former and current Detroit Lions played alongside Smith in New Orleans and were deeply impacted by the news of his passing. They shared their grief and sorrow on social media:

Of course, you didn't have to play alongside Smith to feel hurt by the news.

Rest in peace, Will Smith.
