With the 22nd pick in the Pride Of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Houston Texans select defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson. Levy's Beard is the acting general manager for the Texans. Below is the rationale for the pick.
I'll be honest: I wasn't expecting to make this pick. A'Shawn Robinson is rated by most pundits to be the second best 3-4 defensive end in the draft and one of the five best defensive tackles overall in a draft that is very deep at the defensive line positions. Combine that with the fact that the Texans have a hole on the starting defensive line opposite of J.J. Watt, and no real talent to fill it, this pick makes a lot of sense. I looked at a few other players. I considered Corey Coleman of Baylor and Ohio State's Taylor Decker, but Robinson's value was too much to pass up.
