It's another week so it's another episode for the Pride Of Detroit podcast. The pithy starts to these posts have gotten a little wearisome, which is to be expected in the offseason leadup to the draft. Thankfully, we have some real honest to goodness content to talk about. No more Wrestlemania, no more Batman vs. Superman. We've got a lot of meaty football topics this week, yessir.
Kyle Yost joined the PODcast this week, which made us all very happy. He's awesome and brought along some great insights. Myself, Ryan Mathews and Jeremy Reisman round out the cast, which means at some point we talk about Jeremy's jersey curse, which is real.
Download and subscribe to the PODcast on iTunes. Leave us a rating, we always need them! We're also now on Aha Radio and coming soon to more platforms.
This week on the PODcast:
- A rundown of the news that tickles our fancy, and the pressing question: is Jeremy Reisman's jersey curse at the heart of another Detroit legend's retirement?
- The Lions schedule is out! We break it all down and try to figure out how the season could go and what we take away from its unveiling.
- The Los Angeles Rams pulled a blockbuster trade with the Tennessee Titans, moving up to No. 1 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. We parse what it all means, read over an article that speaks to the new reality where such a trade, while awful, is seen as necessary for front offices. We also talk about the implications for this move and how it will change the draft for the Lions.
- Mailbag time! Joe Thomas, sports playoffs, quarterbacks and the best local draft prospects from MAC and Division II schools.
