Draft day is finally here. The last mock drafts are on their way out. The rumors of trade ups and trade downs will finally give way to actual results. Months up speculation will soon become weeks of analyzation. And did I mention no more mock drafts? NO MORE MOCK DRAFTS!
The Detroit Lions enter the 2016 NFL Draft on the precipice of creating a new chapter in their franchise's history. Bob Quinn will man the ship for the first time in his career, and to say Lions fans are eager to see what he has in store would be a gross understatement. His entire career as general manager doesn't rely on his performance this weekend, but this will be his first big test as a first-time NFL GM. Free agency is important, but the careers of an NFL GM are made or broken on Draft Day.
The Lions are not a team that will fix all of their issues with their current ten picks, but they could certainly come out of the draft with a much more complete team than they currently have.
