Lions notes: Barry's final game as a Lion, Chris Spielman and more

Today's notes consist of the Lions' best and worst moves this offseason, Barry Sanders' final game as a Lion and much more.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
  • Former Eagles O-lineman and congressman, Jon Runyan, has a new gig. He will be the NFL's new discipline officer. He'll basically be the guy that you hate that hands out fines for players wearing different colored cleats.
  • Former Detroit Lion linebacker and four-time Pro Bowler, Chris Spielman, will be joining FOX as an NFL analyst. Spielman spent the last 14 years as a college football analyst for ESPN.

  • So drafting Taylor Decker is looking pretty nice right now. Lawson is set to miss 5-6 months.

  • If you were one of those fans that wanted the Lions to give Zach Mettenberger a shot, don't count on it.
