Lions notes: Detroit has no players from 61-100 in NFL's top 100 players of 2016

As the NFL continues its countdown to the best 100 players in 2016, the Detroit Lions remain shut out from the list.

NFL Network announced the No. 61-70 in their Top 100 Players of 2016 list on Wednesday night. Again, no Detroit Lions players were on the list. With the bottom 40 players now announced, the Lions remain shut out from the list entirely.
In more positive news, the Lions currently hold the longest streak in NFL history for most consecutive seasons with at least one safety. (h/t /r/detroitlions)
Gil Brandt of NFL.com put together the ultimate quarterback using aspects of existing passers. This prototypical create-a-quarterback has "the arm of Matthew Stafford."

The Lions will only travel 9,536 miles this year on the road, the sixth-fewest in the league in 2016.
Haloti Ngata, now surrounded by a lot of young talented linemen, is beginning to accept his leadership role on the team.
