- Doug Farrar of Sports Illustrated created a dream coaching squad of current NFL coaches. The Detroit Lions had one representative make the list. No, it wasn't Jim Caldwell or even defensive coordinator Teryl Austin. Instead, it was linebackers' coach Bill Sheridan who received the accolade.
- The Pittsburgh Steelers released their training camp schedule on Wednesday, including the two joint practices previously announced with the Lions. We now have exact dates of those practices, which take place in Pennsylvania and are open to the public:
