PODcast #43: Top edge rushers, interior linemen and a Pokemon mailbag

New, comments

Some very helpful group therapy happened this week

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

July is tough but thanks to the PODcast, it doesn't need to be. Each week we deliver this excellent podcast straight from the minds of Pride Of Detroit right into your ears. Top positional lists, the latest Lions news, music and food talk and all the rest that's fit to discuss during the offseason, Lions or otherwise. Football's coming back soon and we'll see you through just fine.

We've been running down the Listcasts for the last few PODcast. This week, we turn our attention to the defense. For good measure, we've taken your questions once again and added our thoughts and answers.

Download and subscribe to the PODcast on iTunes. Alternatively find us on Stitcher or on any of your favorite podcast services.

This week on the PODcast

  • It's time to double-time it on the Listcasts. For the sake of brevity we chopped down the lists to the top five at their respective positions and led off this week with edge rushers (not just defensive ends!). I screw up part of my list because I'm bad at this and we fight over one particular dude.

  • Double dose of Listcast! With the session chopped to five, we also give you our top five interior linemen of 2016. This one's a bit more of a bitter road to travel for Lions fans.

  • Mailbag this week features a very important group therapy session that arises from divisions over Pokemon Go, the new craze sweeping the nation to the detriment of joyless saps as well as people who can't get their heads out of their phones. No one wins. We also discuss the best records from 2016 so far and where the wide 9 has gone for the Detroit Lions.
