Arian Foster was released by the Houston Texans in March after he ruptured his Achilles in the 2015 season, but the four-time Pro Bowler isn't done with football just yet. It is being reported that Foster will work out with the Miami Dolphins on Monday, but following that he is expected to meet with and work out with the Detroit Lions sometime later in the week.

Depending on the condition of his leg, Arian Foster would be in immediate consideration for one of the running back spots on the Lions roster, most likely directly competing with Stevan Ridley to be part of the standard running back committee members. The former Houston back has posted four seasons with over 1200 yards rushing (just shy of 6500 yards on his career total) and has shown his capacity in making receptions at the position, tallying 14 receiving touchdowns in addition to 54 on the ground.
Of course, coming back from an Achilles rupture is treacherous, and much will be left up to Arian's health.
