The Detroit Lions open training camp this week. The transition between the offseason and the preseason begins on Friday, when the Lions take the practice field in Allen Park. If you haven’t grabbed your tickets to see them, here’s how to procure your spot.
This season promises to be one of the most interesting in recent Lions history. Not only are the Lions led by a new, promising general manager, but they are also coming off one of the most strangest seasons in franchise history. Are the Lions closer to the 1-7 team that had nothing going for them or the 6-2 second-half team that appeared to fix many issues on both sides of the ball? Fans will have their first chance to make that judgement in 2016 by the end of the week.
Additionally, the Lions will be participating in joint practices this year for the first time in nearly two decades. Starting Aug 9, the Lions will head to Pennsylvania to practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers before their game in Week 1 of the preseason.
To help prepare for the upcoming training camp, let’s take a look at some of our coverage previewing the 2016 Detroit Lions.
