The Detroit Lions were soundly defeated by the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night, 30-14.
After the game, Ryan Mathews took the reigns of our Facebook page — like us here! — and recapped the Lions game on Facebook live. Ryan talked extensively on why he’s excited for Matthew Stafford and the offense in 2016. There were certain aspects of the Lions’ defense that he impressed with, too.
Of course, there was more bad than good from the game, so struggles on offense and defense were a big topic in the postgame discussion.
And, of course, Jake Rudock and Dan Orlovsky continue to be the most talked about players on the entire Lions roster. After both quarterbacks threw bad interceptions on Thursday night, Ryan offered his take on the current status of the backup quarterback battle.
... and later, Ryan does a really bad impression of me, so be sure to look out for that.
If you want to be part of the Pride Of Detroit postgame show, be sure to head to our Facebook page after every game (preseason and regular season), and be on the lookout for our live show. We typically go live around 15-20 minutes after the game ends.
