Lions Friday open thread: How worried are you about the Lions offensive line?

The Detroit Lions offensive line has now struggled in the team’s first two preseason games. Is it time to panic?

Well, that was a bummer of a game. The Detroit Lions were manhandled by the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night in all three aspects of the game. But no position were they more outmatched than at offensive line. This marks the second week in a row the Lions offense hasn’t been able to get anything going in the running game, and Matthew Stafford took a few more shots from defenders despite only playing in three series against the Bengals.

Today’s Question of the Day is:

On a scale of 1-5, how concerned are you about the Detroit Lions offensive line right now?

One being "who cares, it’s the preseason." Five being "TEAR DOWN EVERYTHING. I MISS JEFF BACKUS AND DOMINIC RAIOLA"

My answer: Four. I know it’s preseason and four is a pretty high number, but the starting offensive line looks nowhere near ready. Taylor Decker is getting handled at left tackle, unblocked defenders continue to seep through the rest of the offensive line and the interior linemen haven’t created a viable running lane since 2014. As of right now, this offense looks like it will continue to be one-dimensional, which would be a huge failure.

Your turn.
