Madden 17 dropped on Tuesday and it’s already a hit. IGN gave it an 8.6 out of 10, Operation Sports gave it an 8 out of 10 and Game Informer gave it an 8.5 out of 10.
Although the Detroit Lions aren’t thought of very highly by the video game, I’m sure many Lions fans won’t hesitate to pick up the game and take the Lions all the way to the Super Bowl just hours after buying it.
That makes today’s Question of the Day simple:
Did you already buy Madden 17? If not, will you?
My answer: My days of buying the new Madden are over. I bought the games year after year for a small stretch, but my focus was always on the game play. The other stuff — building a franchise, roster, stadium, concession prices, etc — never interested me much. And since the gameplay only goes through minor changes each year, the $60 price tag just isn’t worth it to me. At some point, I’ll go back and buy Madden 13, simply because Calvin Johnson is on the cover, but no more new $60 versions.
Your turn.
