Have you missed Calvin Johnson this preseason? The Detroit Lions are under two weeks away from kicking off their first NFL season without Megatron, but that doesn’t mean Calvin will be completely out of your life.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Johnson will be joining the cast of reality show “Dancing With the Stars.” Johnson joins other stars like Vanilla Ice, Rick Perry and James Hinchcliffe for the shows 23rd season, which premiers in the fall of 2016.
Johnson has been a fairly reserved person during his entire time in the spotlight, so this show seems like it’ll be out of his comfort zone a bit. Still, it’ll be interesting seeing a completely different side of the former Lions receiver.
Ever since his retirement, Johnson has allowed a little of his personality to shine through. Prior to this, he had posted some political thoughts to social media. Later, he did an interview for the ESPN show “E:60” which displayed a candid Johnson that had never been seen before.
Now we will get to see what Johnson looks like on the dance floor. He was never really much of a dancer in the end zone, and we may see why this fall. According to his sister, we shouldn’t expect much:
The 23rd season of “Dancing With the Stars” debuts on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
