With Wednesday's training camp set for later in the evening, the Lions have gone ahead and made a couple of injury-related moves in preparation for the night's activities. The team has activated strong safety Don Carey off the active/non-football injury (NFI) list and has placed wide receiver Ryan Spadola on reserve/injured after he cleared waivers. Spadola has reportedly suffered a torn pectoralis.

Spadola, who has bounced around the league on benches and practice squads, is an undrafted free agent who entered the league in 2013. He signed to the practice squad with the Lions during the 2015 season and signed a futures contract back in January; however, the injury is not a good sign that he might remain with the team in any capacity.
Don Carey was placed on NFI last Friday along with linebacker DeAndre Levy. He will return and potentially practice with the team as early as Wednesday night. There has been no word on Levy's status; for now, he remains on the NFI list with an undisclosed injury or injury concern of some sort.
