I refer to myself as the fantasy guru around these here parts, but now’s the time for you to try your hand against myself and the rest of the Pride Of Detroit staff. And by the rest of the staff from POD I mean the following brave competitors: superstar editor Kyle Yost, draft watch overlord Alex Reno, PODcast ringleader Chris Lemieux and all-around nice guy Justin Simon. As unrelenting as we were in our pursuit of fearless leader Jeremy Reisman and his participation in this league, he was unwilling to willfully make his Sunday's any more stressful than they already are.
But enough about us, let’s talk about you and how we’re excited to potentially play fantasy football with you this year. A couple of weeks ago, we encouraged you to sign up and become a part of a league for members of the community. It was on a first come, first serve basis, but with this league right here, we’re going to be somewhat more selective: we want the veterans who have been around this fine community we have here at Pride Of Detroit.
Here’s what you need to do to join:
- Comment on this article
- Wait a couple of days
- Look for an email (Make sure the email you used to sign up at Pride Of Detroit is legit. If you need to use a different one, say so in the comments.)
- Follow the instructions in said email
And just like that, you’ll be a part of the official Pride Of Detroit fantasy football league. We have nine available slots for this league, making it a 14 person league in total with our participating staff members, and it should be pretty competitive. Spots in the league will be decided by a few factors including: the date you joined POD, how active you are in the community and your general behavior.
The draft is scheduled for next Tuesday, Sep. 6, 2016. With all of the shenanigans and hijinks we get into, this league should be a good amount of fun.
If you happen to not make the cut for this league, it’s all good: there are plenty of other members here who are looking to join a fantasy league. Head on over to Yahoo! and start up a league today.
