Sunday open thread: How excited are you for Lions football?

It's the most wonderful time of the year. Today is the greatest day I've ever known.

It's football day and that's all that really matters to me right now. All of life's infinite stressors play second fiddle to a game that, in a macro sense, means nothing. But that's what makes it so special: it's an entire day we can devote to one meaningless hobby. Call it an escape, call it an obsession or call it worshipping a false idol. I don't care, it's football day and I love it.

So today's Question of the Day is:

On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you for the Detroit Lions game today?

My answer: Somewhere between a 10 and 11. The best part of today is that all of the previews and predictions are no longer relevant. No more telling each other we're wrong or right based on nothing more than training camp reports and a handful of preseason snaps. The 2016 Detroit Lions are no longer potentially good or bad, the 2016 Detroit Lions just are.
