Week 1 for the Detroit Lions was a thrilling game that may not be matched the rest of the season—but probably will; we know better by this point. Still, with the combined anticipation for the start of football and the high anxiety of letting an 18-point lead slip away and potentially losing a game on an extra point, this game set the bar pretty high for intensity.
But fans weren’t the only ones feeling it. The Lions players out there were seen expressing wild emotions and wearing their hearts on their sleeve. After the game, several Lions players to to Twitter for a little post-game release.
What a game!
For many Lions players, the disbelief of the game hadn’t worn off by the time the were on social media.

Great win! One thing I'm learning about the NFL is that they make you earn every win!

It wasn’t pretty
For others, they knew the team didn’t give it their best, but also know that getting the “W” is the highest priority.
It wasn't pretty at times but we stayed together!! Love my teammates! Great team win! #OnePride
