The NFC has been considered somewhat top-heavy for the past few years. Teams like the Packers, Panthers, Seahawks and Cardinals have pretty much reigned supreme for the last three years or so.
But after Week 1, things don’t look so great for the NFC. The Panthers dropped a heartbreaker to a Broncos team with a lot of questions surrounding them. The Cardinals couldn’t beat a Brady-less and Gronk-less Patriots team. The Seahawks (literally) limped past the Dolphins, while the Packers were 12 yards away from losing to the Jaguars.
With the slow start to the 2016 season, today’s Question of the Day is:
Who is the best team in the NFC right now?
My answer: This is really hard. There is no clear front-runner right now, but if I had to pick—and I do, I asked the question—I’d go with the Seahawks. Though they barely got past the Dolphins on Sunday, they actually outgained Miami by over 100 yards. If it weren’t for two uncharacteristic turnovers from Russell Wilson, this game probably wouldn’t have been as close as it was. Still, the Seahawks looked quite vulnerable, as did every team in the NFC in Week 1.
Your turn.
