Traveling to away games has been a passion of mine every since I moved away from Detroit in 2008. It’s one thing to see a new stadium, but it’s a totally different experience in fandom, as well. You see other Detroit Lions in a completely new light when you’re among the enemy. That’s why I’ve now seen the Lions play in seven different stadiums outside of Detroit in the past eight years.
However, there is one stadium experience that I have yet to try, and I imagine it is one of the most unique the entire NFL has to offer. It is the Mecca of NFL stadium: Lambeau Field.
Today’s Question of the Day is simple:
Have you ever been to Lambeau Field? If so, please share your experience.
My answer: as I said, I have yet to visit The Frozen Tundra. Lambeau is currently the No. 1 stadium I’d like to visit. Besides going there for all of the historical reasons, there is something very appealing about putting a raucous stadium right in the middle of a town whose population is only slightly larger than the stadium’s capacity.
Your turn.
