The Detroit Lions are down to their 53-man roster. The team announced all of their cuts at once. Here are the final 12 transactions left to be announced:

Players waived:

  • CB Alex Carter
  • WR Quinshad Davis
  • LB Jayson DiManche
  • LB Zaviar Gooden
  • WR Jay Lee
  • T Luke Marquardt
  • DT Caraun Reid
  • DB Charles Washington
  • DT Gabe Wright

Veteran released:

  • C Lemuel Jeanpierre
  • CB Darrin Walls

Suspended list

  • TE Andrew Quarless

Among those cuts, some of the most surprising are the release of both Darrin Wall AND Alex Carter. That leaves Detroit pretty shorthanded at cornerback.

The waiving of Gabe Wright and Caraun Reid mean that Stefan Charles and Khyri Thornton made the team, as well as Anthony Zettel and Kerry Hyder.

Some surprising names still on the roster are CB Adairius Banres, WR Andre Roberts and OT Corey Robinson.
