Detroit Lions 2016 practice squad tracker

The Detroit Lions have their 53-man roster set — for now — and the next step in the process will be building their 10-man practice squad. We’ll be tracking all of the moves below as the news comes in. Teams are notified of which players went unclaimed through waivers at Noon on Sunday and can start building their practice squad an hour later at 1 p.m. ET.

There is a lot of anticipation building for several Lions players that did not make the cut. Jake Rudock, Jace Billingsley and Jay Lee all made very strong cases for a roster spot in the preseason finale against the Bills, but at this point, it remains unclear if they will clear waivers. If they do, those three have to be high priorities to bring back to the practice squad.

Here’s some resources you may want to look over before the practice squad is built:

The Detroit Lions have 16th priority in waivers (based on the 2016 NFL Draft order). Tune in at 1 p.m. ET to see if the Lions claimed anyone and who they bring back for the practice squad.
