It’s game week! And not we’re-forced-into-convincing-ourselves-that-preseason-football-is-real-football game week, REAL football game week!
No more squabbling over roster spots or overanalyzing exhibition football. The 2016 Detroit Lions regular season is here, and every Sunday from now until February will be filled with non-stop football. To get ready for the 2016 season, let’s look forward to the upcoming months.
Which 2016 Detroit Lions game are you looking forward to the most?
My answer: Indianapolis Colts. Opening weekend is something special in the NFL. All of the anticipation from the previous eight months culminates into one huge release. We finally get to see the team the Lions have spent the last six months building.
Though the game also comes with the unfortunate side effect of extreme overreactions to whatever happens, it’s worth it to see the theoretical finally become reality.
Also, I’m a firm believer in the mantra that the next game is always the most important game. So let’s get this 2016 season started already!
