Come chat during the first game of the NFL regular season.

FOOOOOOOOOOOTBAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWL.

The long wait is over. Pending some field malfunction, we’re going to see real live meaningful NFL football tonight. While the Detroit Lions still have a few days before their season opener, we get to see the Super Bowl 50 sequel. Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos lost one of their key cast members to retirement. But the Carolina Panthers are fully equipped and looking to exact revenge.

The NFL is hilariously trying to bill this game as something even bigger than the Super Bowl, with their commercial spots literally saying “The Super Bowl was just the beginning...”

Tone it down, NFL. We’re all excited that football is back, so you can turn the hype machine exaggerator down to a six. We all know that the sequel is never as good as the original, anyways.

So with all of the non-manufactured excitement in the air, let’s celebrate the start of the 2016 NFL regular season by watching some football together. Feel free to chat in the comment section below regarding the game. Remember, please do not mention any illegal streams or they will be removed immediately.

Here’s some info on the game:

When: Thursday, Sept. 8 - 8:30 p.m. ET

Where: Sports Authority Field at Mile High — Denver, CO

TV: NBC

Odds: Panthers by 3

LEGAL online streaming: NBC Sports (no sign-in required!)

Happy football, everyone!
