The Detroit Lions aren’t playing today. In fact, they don’t play a ‘real’ game for another eight months. Sorry to drop that on you, but we must face the truth.

Or... we could bury our heads in the NFL Playoffs and pretend that Matt Ryan is Matthew Stafford and Julio Jones is an unretired Calvin Johnson and everything will be okay if we just close our eyes and forget about last week.

The Atlanta Falcons kick off Saturday’s playoff schedule with a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. On this week’s PODcast, we debated which teams to adopt in the playoffs now that the Lions are gone, and most of us agreed that the Falcons should be the NFC team to adopt.

In the second matchup of the day, the New England Patriots will take on the Houston Texans. The game on that line is up to 15 points. No one is expecting anything resembling a competitive game, but that only builds the stakes for the Texans, right? RIGHT?

Regardless of who you are rooting for, come chat with us during the two games on Saturday. After all, these are two of the remaining seven games left in the 2016 NFL season. Binge while you can, football fans.
