Friday open thread: Did you watch the Pro Bowl Skills Competition?

The NFL debuted the Pro Bowl Skills competition on Thursday. Did you watch?

NFL: Pro Bowl-NFC Practice Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

It has long been established that the NFL Pro Bowl is as close to unwatchable as possible. With players essentially playing not to get injured, it doesn’t make for very compelling television.

However the NFL, to their credit, tried to make the Pro Bowl slightly more appealing this year by adding a skills competition. The competition included a quarterback precision challenge, a "drone drop" hands competition, and the mostly highly anticipated dodgeball game. The skills competition took play on Thursday night.

So today’s Question of the Day is simply:

Did you watch the 2017 Pro Bowl Skills Competition?

My answer: I did not. To be completely honest, I forgot that it was happening on Thursday. However, even if I had remembered it, I don’t really think I would have watched live.

That being said, there are a few events the NFL posted on their Youtube channel, and I did catch a few of them after the fact. The quarterback challenge and dodgeball events were actually somewhat entertaining, and I think if the NFL is smart, they will keep those events going forward.

Your turn.
