Week 6 NFL picks: Staff predictions for Lions-Saints

Our staff tries to rebound after whiffing last week.

NFL: Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Last week, the Pride of Detroit staff took a beating. All 10 staffers picked the Detroit Lions to defeat the Carolina Panthers, and all 10 were wrong.

But it doesn’t look like any of them are deterred by the Lions’ Week 5 performance. A large majority of our staff is still picking the Lions to defeat the New Orleans Saints on the road this week. Take a look:

Chris Perfett (4-1): 81-73 Lions
Alex Reno (4-1): 30-23 Saints
Mike Payton (3-2): 21-17 Lions
Justin Simon (3-2): 20-19 Lions
Kent Lee Platte (3-2): 47-35 Lions
Ryan Mathews (3-2): 28-21 Lions
Kyle Yost (2-3): 24-23 Saints
Jeremy Reisman (2-3): 31-27 Lions
Andrew Kato (2-3): 24-20 Lions
Jerry Mallory (1-3): 27-23 Lions

Aside from a certain person who doesn’t take his predictions too seriously, most are predicting a score somewhere in the twenties; not quite a shootout, but not a defensive battle either.

Can the Detroit Lions get back on track before heading into their Week 7 bye? Or will the Saints finally get payback for the last three years and move to 3-2?

It’s time for you to make your choice. Vote in the poll below and be sure to add your score prediction in the comment section for a chance to win a shoutout and a poorly-made photoshop in next game’s On Paper preview.
