The NFL knows how to schedule their games. After a somewhat modest set of contest during Sunday, the league will cap off the night with one of the most anticipated matchups for the year.
Whether they admit it or not, the Atlanta Falcons have had this day circled on their calendars ever since the schedule came out in April. They are seeking revenge on the New England Patriots, the team that pulled a sure Super Bowl victory from their hands just over eight months ago.
Both teams seem to be suffering from a bit of Super Bowl hangover. While the Falcons are 3-2 and the Patriots are 4-2, neither team has looked as convincing as they did last year. But the season is early and both teams are still in good positions to make a move to make a playoff run over the next two months.
Here’s how to watch Sunday night’s game.
