It’s been awhile, and I’ve missed you guys.
Back this week, after a much needed bye week to recharge our batteries, is the weekly Madden simulation. Mostly everybody enjoys it unless you’re a loser with no prospects in life because you’re generally awful person with a fledgling career.
This week, the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town to square off with the hometown Detroit Lions for a little “Sunday Night Football” action, but we’re bringing it to you on Saturday morning. Where else are you gonna get ‘tent like this?
Recently, the Steelers have been able to get things in working order on both sides of the football, and bear some of the potential many thought they had in the lead up to the 2017 season. And while the Steelers have a legacy built on defense, it’s been the offense leading this surge.
Le’Veon Bell (95 overall) is back in football shape after missing all of training camp and the preseason due to a holdout over his contract, and he’s been on a tear—in his past two games (both Steelers victories over the then undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and division rival Cincinnati Bengals) Bell has rushed for 313 yards and a touchdown. And star wideout Antonio Brown (97) has 12 catches for 220 yards and two touchdowns in his last two contests.
On the other side of the ball, the Steelers defense has some playmakers in guys like Cameron Heyward (86), Ryan Shazier (87), and the never aging James Harrison (82).
Be sure to jump over to our live stream starting at 11:30 a.m. ET to keep up with the conversation and join a bunch of us who love to watch Madden be Madden. Also, these things are finally available On Demand through Twitch, so if you can’t make the live broadcast, no biggie, you have 14 days to go back and check out all the action you missed out on.
Once the clock strikes 11:30, the stream will begin below.
It’s Detroit Lions vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. This time, it’s (not) for real.
