The Detroit Lions are back on primetime on Sunday as they host the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers. The Lions are in a tough spot, sitting 1.5 games behind the Vikings and riding a demoralizing two-game losing streak. They’ve had a bye week to regroup and regather, but if they don’t turn around things quickly, they may find themselves with too much ground to make up with too little time.
The Steelers, on the other hand, share the best record in the AFC and have just one fewer win than the rest of their division combined. Having won two in a row, there’s a lot of confidence surrounding the team.
So it should come as little surprise that the staff here at Pride of Detroit believes the Steelers will come out victorious on “Sunday Night Football.” Check out our picks below.
Alex Reno (5-1): 24-13 Steelers
Chris Perfett (4-2): 8-3 Steelers
Mike Payton (3-3): 35-10 Steelers
Justin Simon (3-3): 24-13 Steelers
Kent Lee Platte (3-3): 24-23 Lions
Ryan Mathews (3-3): 27-21 Steelers
Kyle Yost (3-3): 24-23 Lions
Jeremy Reisman (2-4): 20-13 Steelers
Andrew Kato (2-4): No pick
Jerry Mallory (1-4): 27-26 Steelers
There are two hopeful members of the staff who believe the Lions end their two-game skid, but the rest of us think Detroit will fall to 3-4.
However, most of the staff believes we’re going to be in for a good game. Six of the nine predictions have the final score as a one-possession game. Seeing as though the Lions always seem to stick around, even during potential blowouts, this seems like a safe bet.
So what do you think will happen on Sunday? Throw your score predictions in the comment section below and you could win a shoutout in next week’s preview.
