The Detroit Lions will officially be without rookie receiver Kenny Golladay again, as the team announced on Friday he is OUT for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Joining him with an out designation is running back Dwayne Washington and linebacker Paul Worrilow, the latter of which suffered a knee injury last week against the Vikings.
The Lions also listed eight players as questionable for Sunday’s game, including linebackers Jarrad Davis and Tahir Whitehead. Both Whitehead and Davis were limited all week with a pectoral and neck injury respectively.
Detroit is also hurting on the offensive line, as three starters are listed as questionable: right tackle Rick Wagner, center Travis Swanson and right guard T.J. Lang. Wagner was a limited participant during Friday’s practice, while Lang had the day off. One note on Lang, last week he was dealing with a fibula injury, but all this week, he has been listed with a back injury.
The Panthers have some notable names on their final injury report. As expected, their starting center Ryan Kalil and safety Kurt Coleman were declared out.
Carolina also listed three significant players as questionable for Sunday’s game: left tackle Matt Kalil and defensive ends Julius Peppers and Mario Addison. However, head coach Ron Rivera said on Friday expects all three to play against the Lions, despite the fact that Peppers did not practice this week and Kalil missed the final two days.
