Michigan vs. Michigan State open thread, live blog

It’s rivalry week. Keep it friendly, y’all.

The Detroit Lions will play their fifth game of the 2017 season in less than 24 hours, but there’s a big football game in town before then.

On Saturday night, the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans will face off for the 110th time in history. The Wolverines currently hold a commanding 69-35-5 lead in the series.

The last time the two teams met, the Wolverines came out on top with a 32-23 victory. The year before that, I’m pretty sure the teams didn’t play. Definitely nothing interesting happened if they did, and it certainly didn’t result in me writing an emo article in the FanPost section of this very site.

But the past is the past, and the 4-0 Wolverines hope to keep their playoff hopes alive against one of their biggest rivals. The Spartans (3-1) are coming off a decent win against Iowa and are hoping they can still battle for a Big Ten title despite their early loss to Notre Dame.

These games are always fun, so why not have an open thread during the game. Chat below and enjoy the game. Speaking for the entire Pride of Detroit staff: GO BLUE!
