The Detroit Lions could be without three key players on Sunday for their game against the Cleveland Browns.
For the third straight practice, guard T.J. Lang, linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and defensive end Ezekiel Ansah missed practice completely. Lang and Reeves-Maybin were declared OUT this week by the team on Friday afternoon. Ansah was given the DOUBTFUL designation.
Without Lang in the starting lineup, the Lions are likely to start either Emmett Cleary, who started for an injured Lang earlier in the season, or Don Barclay, who was added to the roster last week after being released from the Packers.
However, the Lions could be getting some big help on the offensive line this week. Detroit waived Greg Robinson earlier on Friday, leaving a roster spot open for a transaction. That spot could either be filled by Corey Robinson or Taylor Decker, both of which have returned to practice in the past few weeks, but have not been activated from their respective injury list.
Additionally, it looks like this could be the week the Lions get Kenny Golladay back. The rookie receiver is listed as questionable after practicing for the third time this week—again in a limited capacity. The Lions haven’t had Golladay in the lineup since Week 3 against the Falcons.
