Sunday could be a big day for the Detroit Lions. They’ll begin the day a full two games behind the Minnesota Vikings for the NFC North lead, with the Lions holding a 4-4 record, while the Vikings are 6-2.

In less than two weeks, both teams will face off against each other for the final time in the 2017 regular season. Detroit picked up a win on the first game between the two in Minnesota, and if they win that matchup on Thanksgiving, they could be in really good shape to win the division.

But first things first. Both teams have two games to take care of before that showdown, and it starts on Sunday afternoon. Both teams are in action at 1 p.m. ET, with the Lions facing off against the Browns and the Vikings traveling to Washington.

We already know that most think the Lions will win their game. According to Saturday’s poll, 93 percent of readers think Detroit comes out victorious. So today’s Question of the Day is:

Will the Detroit Lions gain ground on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday?

My answer: No. While I’m with the 93 percent of readers and think the Lions will win fairly easily on Sunday (you can read my full preview and prediction here), I don’t think this is a game the Vikings will drop. Though traveling to Washington is no easy task, especially considering they just picked up a big win over the Seahawks last week in Seattle, this Vikings team is coming off of a bye week and have won four straight.

I think it’s going to be a very close game between the two, but ultimately I believe Minnesota will win and enter Week 11 with an impressive 7-2 record, while the Lions will stay two games back at 5-4.

Your turn.
