For the second day in a row, and fifth consecutive practice, Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah sat out. The Lions premier pass rusher has been sidelined with a back injury for the past week and a half, and his chances of playing this week look dimmer and dimmer.
On Wednesday, the Lions added Kasim Edebali to their defensive line, but without Ansah, Detroit remains perilously thin at the position.
The rest of the Lions injury report remained the same: Dwayne Washington is still out with a hip injury, T.J. Lang was a full participant, while Jalen Reeves-Maybin is just limited in practice with an ankle injury.
For the Chicago Bears, much like Ansah, linebacker Danny Trevathan missed his fifth consecutive practice and looks like he could miss Sunday’s game. Trevathan is second on the team with 52 tackles despite missing two games this season.
However, Chicago also got some good news on Thursday. Starting offensive guard Kyle Long was upgraded from limited to a full participant at practice. Long missed last week’s game against the Packers with a finger injury, and this was his first full practice since Week 8.
