Lions-Packers injury report: Taylor Decker practices, Kenny Golladay sits

New, comments

The Lions are getting one key player back at practice, but another remains sidelined.

The Detroit Lions underwent their first full practice of the week to prepare for the Green Bay Packers, and they were relatively healthy for the first time in a while.

Left tackle Taylor Decker participated in his first full practice on Thursday. It’s unknown whether Decker was a full or limited participant, as he still remains on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, therefore is not a part of the official injury report. His availability for Monday’s against Green Bay is still up in the air, but head coach Jim Caldwell wouldn’t say whether he expects him to go. “We’ll see,” Caldwell said on Thursday.

While Decker is nearing a return, it appears that rookie receiver Kenny Golladay is still significantly hampered by his hamstring issue. Golladay did not participate in Thursday’s practice, though he was running on the sidelines, according to several beat writers.

Golladay has been sidelined with this injury since Week 4, but it appeared he was close to a return after the bye week. After practicing in a limited fashion last Wednesday, Golladay has now missed three practices in a row. It appears he has suffered some sort of setback and it’s not clear when he’ll return.

Aside from Golladay, Golden Tate and Dwayne Washington were in red no-contact jerseys, but Tate, strangely, wasn’t on the injury report. Tate has been limited with a shoulder injury suffered against the Saints, while Washington suffered a concussion last week against the Steelers.

Don Carey (knee) and Greg Robinson (ankle) were also absent from Thursday’s practice.

Coming off the bye, the Packers aren’t as healthy as one may think. Martellus Bennett surprisingly missed practice on Thursday due to an undisclosed injury. (Update: Bennett is listed with a shoulder injury on the official report) Bennett played in 89 percent of the Packers’ offensive snaps in their last game against the Saints, so it’s unclear when he suffered the injury.

The full injury report for both teams will be posted below when made public:
