While the virtual Lions have outplayed their real-life counterparts so far this season, we have to keep doing this. We need a scapegoat just in case the real Lions see their season torpedoed at the hands of Brett Hundley on “Monday Night Football.”
Without Aaron Rodgers (97 overall) in their lineup, the Green Bay Packers offense certainly isn’t the same by any means. Backup Brett Hundley (71) is a below-average backup by Madden’s standards, but coming off of a bye week and playing the Lions at Lambeau Field could mean he’s coming to a Madden Ultimate Team near you.
The Packers are still stocked with talent in Rodgers absence, especially at wide receiver. The usual suspects of Jordy Nelson (90), Randall Cobb (84), and Davante Adams (85) might make up for some of Hundley’s deficiencies.
On defense, Mike Daniels (90) and Kenny Clark (83) form a stout front for a stellar linebacker corps: Clay Matthews (86), Blake Martinez (82), and Nick Perry (83). The secondary is where the Packers are most vulnerable in Madden, sporting only one defensive back above a 79 overall in safety Morgan Burnett (86).
Be sure to jump over to our live stream starting at 5:35 p.m. ET to keep up with the conversation and join a bunch of us who love to watch Madden be Madden. Also, these things are finally available On Demand through Twitch, so if you can’t make the live broadcast, no biggie, you have 14 days to go back and check out all the action you missed out on.
Once the clock strikes 5:35 p.m., the stream will begin below.
It’s Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers. This time, it’s (not) for real.
